With the festivities in full swing, now is the perfect time to visit one of London's countless Christmas markets. With so many options, we've put together a list of the best the city has to offer. 

Southbank Centre Winter Market - Southbank

Even though we've covered this one in our 'London Winter Guide', we just had to include it in our list. Every year, London's Southbank transforms into a wintery paradise with chalets along the banks of the Thames complete with cheese, cocktails, mulled wine and even more cheese. Be sure to catch a festive show at the Royal Festival Hall whilst you're there!

Greenwich Christmas Market - Greenwich Penninsula 

Further along the Thames, you'll find London's ancient maritime neighbourhood of Greenwich. Decorated with lights, festive goodies and a number of street food stalls. Greenwich's already famous market, you'll some 150 stalls selling a range of products; Christmas shopping here will be a treat. On selected Wednesday's, the market stays open late with arts, crafts and festive music because.. why not?

Hackney Christmas Market - Hackney Central

Hackney Christmas Market is arguably east London's finest Christmas offering. You'll find everything here, the usual festive food and drinks, Santa's grotto and amazing entertainment set in some of east London's finest venues. Where Hackney Christmas Market stands out is with the sustainable, ethical and conscious gift options on offer. Be sure to visit before Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th when the market closes for the year!

The Drop's Christmas Market - Coal Drops Yard

Kings Cross has been hiding a secret; Coal Drops Yard. One of London's newest boutique shopping hotspots complete with a unique blend of contemporary and industrial architecture right by Regent's Canal. On December 13th, wine bar The Drop hosts a Christmas market for food, drinks and entertainment lovers. For an all-round relaxed and enjoyable Christmas shopping experience, this is the place to be.

Winter Wonderland - Hyde Park

Would a list of London's best Christmas markets really be complete without including the most famous of them all? We didn't think so. Winter Wonderland pulls in people from far and wide and there's a lot to be impressed by, first off.. it's massive! There's something here for everyone, whether it's the Uk's largest outdoor ice-rink, the famous ice bar, après ski-inspired village, German beer tents, festive food stalls and even karaoke huts. There's a lot happening here and we reckon Christmas in London isn't complete without a trip to Winter Wonderland.
